HOW IT STARTED:
I got to know about Tiidelab from an alumnus, he took part in the last cohort, Cohort 2, he had nothing but praises, appreciation and goodwill for Tiidelab. He's also my tutor but he recommended this program to me, saying that it was this Tiidelab's Cohort 2 program that changed his life. As a beginner in the world of web development, i find it sometimes to learn much from books and tutorials , after all, learning isn't just about watching, copying and pasting, it's about finding competent tutors who'd explain and put you through properly, so i talked to him (The alumnus that told me about this program) about my interest and passion in knowing more and he shared me the link to Tiidelab's Pre-fellowship. I clicked on the link and registered, luckily i got picked for the one month pre fellowship. The first seminar made me realize that the things i heard about Tiidelab weren't unfounded and that it really is a wonderful organization.
WHAT I LEARNT: The tutors have been wonderful, their lecture materials easy to comprehend and understand, and they are ready to put you through.Though they ere also strict when the situation calls for it. I learnt : HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, and i can proudly say that I'm much better than i was a month ago before i joined the program.
During the past month of the pre-fellowship, I've come to acquire not just development skills and knowledge but other soft skills that can make a programmer stand out amongst his peers. Soft skills like:
- Discipline
- Punctuality (meeting deadlines)
- Communication (asking when you're clueless)
- working as a team
- And how to work with GitHub
I've really enjoyed the pre-fellowship, it motivated, it challenged me and most importantly it made me improve...
So i say, a very Big THANK YOUS to: 1.Tiidelab for this amazing program
- UncleBigBay for his wonderful lectures
- Mr Shams for his guidance and patience 4 . Mr Basit for recommending me this program
